Consumption review
Assess recent bills, daily operating hours and how much electricity the property uses while solar is generating.
On-Grid Solar Systems · Grid-connected generation
Plan a grid-connected solar installation around your daytime consumption, roof conditions and available electrical supply. Understand the generation design and utility arrangements before confirming the project.

A clear scope before you commit
Start with your requirements, review the proposal and confirm the work in writing. The final scope is agreed for your property and equipment.
Assess recent bills, daily operating hours and how much electricity the property uses while solar is generating.
Review roof layout, shading, panel strings, inverter sizing and electrical integration with your existing supply.
Agree the electrical protection, earthing, monitoring and handover records included in the installation.
Understand the choices
Standard on-grid systems do not power the property during grid outages. Discuss hybrid or off-grid options if backup is required.
Any export or billing arrangement depends on applicable utility requirements and approvals.
Roof orientation, shading, weather and equipment condition influence output. Ask how any estimate was prepared.
Prepare for a useful conversation
Share the information relevant to your site so the team can discuss the assessment and next steps. Confirm any additional records needed for the final proposal.
What to expect
A grid-connected solar proposal that explains the intended system size, operating behaviour and utility-related assumptions.
Confirm equipment models where relevant, included work, exclusions, site preparation, schedule, commissioning and support responsibilities. Any price or performance estimate should state its assumptions.
Review our published company credentials, installation portfolio and warranty and support guidance.
Sunlight Technology Solar · Service in detail
Sunlight Technology Solar discusses on-grid systems with customers whose premises can use solar electricity while the sun is available. We review bills, opening or occupancy hours, roof space and the existing electrical supply. A home with limited daytime use needs a different assessment from a shop, school or factory with sustained daytime demand. The objective is a practical proposal based on consumption rather than the largest array that fits the roof.
The assessment considers panel layout, shading, inverter configuration and the route from the array to the electrical installation. Any export arrangement must be checked against the rules, approvals and connection conditions applicable to the site. We distinguish expected generation from expected bill reduction and do not assume all generated electricity earns the same financial value.
A conventional grid-following inverter normally shuts down when the grid fails. On-grid solar therefore does not automatically provide outage backup. If backup is important, tell our team before design so storage or another suitable configuration can be assessed separately. The quotation should identify application work, equipment, protection, commissioning and any exclusions.
From first contact to follow-up
Share your location, property details and the service you need. Tell us about existing equipment and your priorities.
Review the site and available records. Identify the information and checks needed before a recommendation.
Compare the proposed equipment or service scope, inclusions, exclusions, schedule and written terms.
Coordinate the agreed work, retain the relevant records and understand the route for after-sales assistance.
Before you get started
A standard grid-tied installation shuts down when the grid is unavailable. Backup requires an appropriately designed system and equipment.
Discuss the applicable connection process with the team and electricity provider. Export eligibility, metering and billing are determined by current utility requirements.
Not automatically. Consumption, supply limits, equipment selection and applicable connection arrangements should guide the design.
